The terrace with sea view, the other on the wildly romantic mountain landscape here in the far east of Mallorca. The promenade of Colonia de Sant Pere is one of the finest in Mallorca, with inviting restaurants with umbrellas and seating on the water. The tables are set in the shade of umbrellas with commercial-free cloth blankets and napkins, of which, the view across the water to the opposite coast of the peninsula of La Victoria. It's too dignified, quiet and well maintained. One might almost think, to promenade on Lake Constance, the water, the light would not be so blue, so clear, and the mountains, so close enough to touch. Colonia de Sant Pere was founded in 1881 as a small village of fishermen and farmers. Before, only one there to see two windmills. Around a central square with a church and two-storey houses are grouped in country style. The Central Bar, right on the church square - the place actually belongs to the parish - is the meeting place for the village and the whole year geöffnet.vNach Colonia de Sant Pere people come to appreciate the peace and quiet. This does not mean that everything is boring. Especially in summer, when vacation is, the place filled with families, who spend the hot days here. Colonia de Sant Pere is the pearl of the North.
